Welcome toWatawala Plantations

Watawala Plantations PLC is a diversified agribusiness with oil palm as its core operation, complemented by Tea, Rubber, and Dairy. Through structured land management, environmental stewardship, and strong governance, we cultivate plantation assets that support national food security and long‑term economic value.

Core Business – Palm Oil: Oil palm is the most land‑efficient source of edible oil globally and a critical contributor to Sri Lanka’s food security. At Watawala Plantations, palm oil cultivation is managed under regulated, sustainable practices that balance productivity, environmental protection, and community livelihoods.

Other Plantation Crops: Tea, Rubber, and Dairy operations complement our core palm oil business and contribute to diversification and rural employment.

Why Palm Oil Matters

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Sustainability

Our sustainability framework is anchored in responsible palm oil cultivation and applied across all plantation operations.
